Spellbinders Outlined Christmas Sentiments

Spellbinders SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH CLUB OCTOBER 22 is a fun Outlined Christmas Sentiments Die set. This set has 26 cutting dies. There are some word dies in beautiful font with it’s outlined layer and some flowers that are just perfect to create beautiful Christmas cards or even non-Christmas cards. If you ask me, It is a must have word die in your collection.

Hello everyone!

Today I am sharing a whole set of Christmas cards I have created using the Spellbinders Outlined Christmas Sentiments Die set which is one of the club kit this month.

My cards today are 4 and a quarter by 5 and a half inches side folding cards. I embossed 5 panels of Neenah solar white panels with the Embossing Folder of the Month for October 22. This is called Scattered Christmas.

For all these cards I created colorful backgrounds using some watercolor paper and Ken Oliver Color Burst Powder. I used Merlot, Terre Verte and Yellow Ochre colors. I dropped the powders directly on the watercolor paper and sprayed water over it. The water spray makes the powder pigment move and blend together. For extra sparkle, I also sprayed Shimmer Spray.

Then, I cut out each watercolor background using Simon says stamp Stitched Rectangle die. They are approximately 3 and a quarter by 4 and a half inches in size so the border of embossed design is visible.

This die set has 10 word dies you can mix and match to create different Christmas Sentiments. I created 5 cards with 5 different sentiments with gold and white card-stocks. After that, I cut out some flowers with white and gold al well and added it with foam tape on each cards.

I loved how simple it was to create all these beautiful cards with just one die set and some color burst powders. Of course you can use pattern papers if you don’t want to spend time creating backgrounds.
