Today we’re diving into the joyous world of Christmas crafting with Poppy Stamps’ latest release as I craft a whimsical snow globe card. Using three enchanting products from their new collection, we’ll bring a winter wonderland to life with glittering trees, a charming scene, and festive details with a heartfelt sentiment.
Nordic Elegance: Glittering Trees
Our winter scene begins with the Nordic Whimsy Trees Craft Die and Nordic Tree Toppers Craft Die. With silver and green glitter card-stock from Glitzy Glitter Pack we fashion majestic trees. The foreground boasts two towering trees created with alternating colors of silver white and green card-stocks while the background is adorned with two smaller green ones.
Winter Wonderland: The Snow Globe Assembly
I meticulously brought these glistening trees to life within the confines of a snow globe. Using the Simple Rings Craft Die, I cut a background which is the sky, blending hues to perfection and splattering delicate snowflakes in white. The magic intensified as I delicately crafted an acetate globe, with a white ring of border around it. Layer by layer, the enchanting landscape materialized—first the background, then the glittering trees, followed by a snow bank, and on top goes the acetate globe. Then finally the snowglobe base created with the Snowglobe Bases Craft Die was added with a foam tape to complete the whole snow globe. With each element strategically placed, a mesmerizing winter spectacle emerged.
Plaid Perfection: The Background
The stage is set with a backdrop of plaid perfection, using a piece from the pretty pattern paper from Poinsettia Plaid Paper Pack. This pattern paper enhances the festive charm, creating a delightful contrast against the glittering trees and snowy globe.
Winter Greetings: Heat Embossed Sentiments
No Christmas card is complete without heartfelt sentiments. We stamp and emboss a “winter greetings” using the Christmas Banners Clear Stamp Set on the snow globe stand. The sentiment is embossed in white, adding a touch of elegance. To complete the card, shimmering stars cut from silver cardstock embellish our creation, adding a final flourish of festive magic.
