Hello Everyone. Today I am showcasing the card that I created using beautiful day stamp set to participate in the Altenew March 2018 Inspiration Challenge. It’s almost the end of March. Due to my busy schedule I couldn’t post this earlier. But better late than never.
Here’s my card
And here is the picture from the challenge.
The color combination for this challenge was blue, coral and light brown.
I decided on blue and coral for my card and my base for the card was craft card-stock.
My card is 4 and a quarter inches wide and 5 and a half inches tall. It’s top folding card. I cut a panel of heavyweight card-stock in white using the largest die of Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle dies.
I then using the latest stencil called Leaf Burst Stencil from Altenew created the background with two distressed oxide inks from Tim Holtz in color Abandoned Coral and Salty Ocean.
Stamped the flowers and leaf images from Beautiful Day Stamp Set from Altenew on Watercolor paper. Colored them using Prima watercolors. And then cut out the images using coordinating dies.
I arranged the flowers in the background but because of the busy background, the flowers were not showing on the card as much. So I decided to add a layer of vellum cut with one size smaller of the Stitched Rectangle die that helped mute the background pattern a little still showing the beautiful background.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set stamped and embossed with white embossing powder on craft card-stock.
So Here’s how my card was done. I just loved how it finally turned out. Hope you guys like it.
I also entered this card in the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes Challenge.
