Birthday Card using Stamping Up Bottles and Bubbles die set.

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog. Hope you are having a great summer. Here is New York it has been really hot this summer.  Whereas everyone else is waiting for the summer with excitement, it is not my favorite season. I like to spend most of the summer days inside in the air conditioning making cards.

Today I am presenting a card I made using Stamping Up dies called Bottles and Bubbles die set. I also purchased the stamp set for this but in this project, I only used one of the large bottles die from this set.

I used distressed inks from Ranger from Tim Holtz. I blended Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, Mowed lawn, Evergreebough and Cracked Pistachio inks on 110lb cardstock strip from my scrap stash. Sprayed with distressed spray and also sprinkled some water drops with my fingers on to the inked strip, dried it with paper towel for some interest.

I loved how it turned out. Then I used the large bottle die from the Bottles and Bubbles die set to cut as many bottles I could get out of that stip of inked background. Then I arranged the die cut bottles on to a white panel of 110 lb cardstock cut to 4 inches by 5.5 inches. Adhered it with Tombow Mono Liquid Glue. I cut the extra bits of the bottles hanging off of the panel. Used the leftover pieces to cover any empty spaces on the panel.

Stamped the sentiment from the Bubble Over stamp set in Mowed Lawn distressed ink on a piece of white cardstock.

Then I adhered this panel on a 4 and a quarter by 5 and a half card base in light blue cardstock from Simon  Says Stamp.

Last but not the least scattered some iridescent sequins on wherever it falls and then attached with glossy accent. Added some more glossy accent on top to create like a dewdrop look.

So here’s My final card done. I loved how it turned out and can’t stop admiring it with a big grin. Hope you guys like it too.

hugs

Jyoti
