Hello, crafty friends! Today, I’m excited to share a set of adorable projects featuring the Nordic Bunny Craft Die from Poppystamps! I created two cards, a tag, and a little embellishment, all showcasing this sweet bunny in different ways. These projects are perfect for sending warm and cheerful greetings to someone special. Let’s take a closer look!
Bunny Kisses – Dimensional Circle Card
For my first card, I wanted to create a soft and cozy scene featuring the Nordic Bunny. I started by die-cutting the bunny pieces from white cardstock and coloring them with COPIC markers. I used warm gray tones for the bunny’s body, a soft pink for the ears, and a beautiful blue-green combination for its clothing. Once colored, I assembled the bunny, bringing it to life with shading and details.
To build the background, I die-cut a large circle in the center of a white cardstock panel and ran it through an embossing folder to add subtle texture. Next, I cut a decorative circular frame using the Nordic Heart Pattern Rings Craft Die from white cardstock and adhered it around the cut-out circle. Behind the opening, I placed a piece of patterned paper from the Birthday Fun 6×6 paper pack, adding a playful touch to the design.
To add dimension, I popped up the embossed panel with foam tape and adhered it to a teal card base. Then, I placed the bunny in the center of the circle, securing it with a double layer of foam tape for extra depth. The result was an adorable focal point that stands out beautifully.
For the sentiment, I die-cut the words “bunny kisses” from the Bunny Kisses Craft Die using the same teal cardstock as the base. I positioned it along the bottom of the card, completing the design with a cohesive color balance.
For Some Bunny Special – Polka Dot Card
For my second card, I took a slightly different approach, focusing on soft ink blending for the bunny. I die-cut the Nordic Bunny from white cardstock and used ink blending techniques to create depth and dimension. Instead of coloring the clothes, I cut them from colored cardstock, keeping the look simple yet charming.
For the background, I selected a foiled polka dot patterned paper from the Birthday Fun 6×6 pack. The soft shine of the foil added just the right amount of elegance while keeping the design playful and lighthearted. I adhered this panel to my card base, allowing the pattern to be a prominent part of the design.
To bring everything together, I placed the bunny in the center of the card, securing it with foam tape for a slight lift. For the sentiment, I used the For Some Bunny Special Craft Die to cut the phrase from coordinating teal cardstock. I positioned it along the bottom, adding a heartfelt touch to complete the card.
Sweet Bunny Tag
Next, I created a fun little tag using the same Nordic Bunny die. I started with a simple die-cut bunny, following the same coloring and paper-piecing techniques as in my previous projects. This time, I focused on keeping the design small and versatile.
For the base of the tag, I gathered some leftover pieces of patterned paper from the Birthday Fun 6×6 pack and layered them to create a visually interesting background. I then die-cut the tag shape and adhered the bunny in the center, letting it be the star of the design.
To finish it off, I added a small sentiment and a ribbon to the top, making this tag perfect for gift-giving or adding a personalized touch to a present.
Little Bunny Embellishment
My final project is a tiny embellishment featuring the Nordic Bunny! This was a fun way to use up extra die-cut pieces and create something that can be added to a card, scrapbook layout, or even a planner.
I started by assembling a mini bunny and layering it onto a small patterned paper piece. I chose a playful print from the Birthday Fun 6×6 pack to give it a lively background. This embellishment is perfect for adding a sweet handmade touch to any future project!
