Spellbinders APG Die Dec ’22

The Spellbinders APG Die for the month of Dec 22 is a valentine themed one. This die set is designed to create and envelope and note inside the envelope.

Hello everyone!

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so let’s start making some cards. I love APG dies for their intricate design. This die set is worth the value as there are so many dies that can be used in different ways on many projects. This month’s theme is valentine’s day but you can actually use the intricate dies in other non valentines day cards throughout the year. This is how this die set looks like.

I have created one envelope and a bunch of cards mixing and matching all the die cut pieces.

First Card

Here’s my first card:

I used gold and peachy pink for my first card. For the background I used light pink as I wanted the die cut piece to stand out. The background is embossed using the Embossing folder of the month for Dec 22. For the die cut image to fit on my 5 and a half by 4 and a quarter card I cut the bottom flap off. I love how this looks like arched doorway of an old palace. And then there is the heart die-cut popped up on the bottom. The sentiments come from the Small Die Of the Month for Dec 22. I loved them so much that I die cut a bunch when I created my cards featuring the Small Die Club.

Second Card

For this one I did just the opposite color. I did the background in peach and the die cut in gold and pink. As before I embossed the peach panel for the background. Then my large piece is gold and the smaller arch is pink. For this one I die cut the sentiment on the pink panel itself rather than having another strip popped up. The sentiment dies in the Small Die Club are so fun you can just cut the words or cut it into a banner. I have a whole post just for this die set here. Then I added the rectangle design with a heart in it towards the bottom. This card is done too.

Third Card

I couldn’t stop here as this die is just so beautiful I created another card. And this is different than the first two.

I took a panel of darker pink card-stock and die cut just the arch decorative die without the outline. I did one on the top and then flipped it and did one on the bottom. Then I die cut another two with gold and added it behind offsetting a little bit so just a tiny sliver of gold shows through. I love how this looks. After that I added the decorative heart with foam tap. Again the sentiment is from the Small Die Club.

Valentine Envelope

My last project for this die is this valentine envelope.

This is what this die set is designed to create. It was very easy to create this envelope as this die set does everything for you. All you have to do is fold the flaps and glue the sides. I used the darker pink card-stock to create this envelope. Then I cut the rectangle with the decorative piece. This rectangle is not attached to the envelope but you can slide it in or out of the envelope. You can write your message on the back of it.

And here are some more photos:

Finally I die cut some flowers with the flower and leaf die that’s included in this die set. I shaped the flower petals with shaping tool. Then I added some flowers wherever I felt like it needed.

I had so much fun creating these fun Valentine’s Day projects with the help of this die set. Hope you get inspired too.

Hugs,
