Sleigh Delivering Joy Card
I was inspired by the festive spirit when I created my first card, aptly named the Sleigh Delivering Joy Card. The main features of this card include the Delivering Joy Sleigh, Handmade Sentiments, and the Winter Rose Background Betterpress Plate.
To start, I die-cut the sleigh pieces using red, craft, gold, and glitter gold cardstocks. Carefully assembling the sleigh, I made sure each piece fit perfectly, giving it a rich and detailed look. Next, I added presents onto the sleigh, enhancing its festive charm. A small joy tag, included in the sleigh die, added a delightful finishing touch.
For the background, I used the Winter Rose Background Betterpress Plate with brown ink. I cut the background to be a quarter inch smaller than the card base and matted it with red cardstock, ensuring a cohesive and elegant look. The sentiment “Delivering Joy,” from the Handmade Sentiments Die set, completed the card with a heartfelt message.
Winter Rose Elegance Card
My second creation, the Winter Rose Elegance Card, highlights the Winter Rose Background Betterpress Plate, Winter Rose Layering Stencil duo, and Handmade Sentiments.
I began by foiling the background using the Winter Rose Background Betterpress Plate and gold hot foil. The result was a stunning, shimmering base. I then used the stencils to add colors, layer by layer, creating a floral background. For a sophisticated palette, I chose muted pink, brown, green, and purple.
The finishing touch was the sentiment “Christmas Wishes,” which I die-cut from the Handmade Sentiments set. The combination of the elegant background and the simple sentiment created a card full of grace and festive warmth.
Aura Foiled Poinsettia Card
As a bonus card, I wanted to experiment with a different look, resulting in the Aura Foiled Poinsettia Card. This card features a striking background created with Aura Hot Foil on black cardstock.
The foiled background stood out beautifully, requiring minimal additional decoration. I added a simple sentiment banner in the center, making it the focal point. To complete the card, I decorated it with poinsettias and leaves, adding a touch of traditional Christmas flair.
