The Beautiful Sentiments Vignette Collection

I was so excited when I opened the package from Spellbinders and received Becca Feeken’s dies from the latest Beautiful Sentiments Vignette Collection. I received two sets of dies and one stamp set.

These are the three Happy Anniversary cards featuring Spellbinders dies.

Hello Everyone!

Today I am playing with these intricately designed dies by Becca.

My first set of cards are created uisng the Happy Anniversary Vignette Etched Dies from Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken.

First Card

I bought these beautiful pattern papers when I visited Michael’s with my mom and she really liked these papers, insisting I should buy them. I thought these would work perfectly with Anniversary cards and especially these beautifully designed dies. The teal and pinks and all the gold foiling on these pattern papers are so pretty.

I cut out all the layers of these dies from the different pattern papers I chose to use on these projects. Then, I mixed and matched the different layers.

For my first card, I used the pink dotted panel for the background and the circle behind the sentiment. The beautiful filigree was cut with Neenah card-stock in 110 lb. weight. Behind that is the layer with large pattern.

The sentiment which says Happy Anniversary was cut with the matte gold card stock which has become one of my favorite metallic card stocks lately.

Second Card

For my second card, I used the striped pattern paper for the background and the pink dotted one for the circle piece behind the filigree piece. The pretty foiled teal paper for the circle was perfect. It was too busy for the sentiment to show, so I added a layer of vellum circle on top to mute the noisy pattern. There you go! Now the sentiment just pops against the vellum backed piece.

I used the gold filigree design on this card.

Third Card

I loved this die so much I had to create one more card. This one is special. It has an extra shaker element to it. I used the floral foiled pattern for the background. As I was planning on making a shaker card I didn’t need any other layers but just the filigree piece with the sentiment. I skipped the circle die this time. So instead of separating the sentiment from the filigree piece, I left the sentiment onto it. I could easily add a piece of acetate behind the sentiment and made it pop with two layers of foam tape so that my shaker elements would move freely behind the window.

Some beads and star sequins were used from my stash for the shaker element. I was overjoyed when I realized I had just the right sequin mix that matched my project perfectly.

This one is my favorite of all three. How about you? Let me know what you think!

The other die I received was this Forever in our Memory Vignette Etched Dies from Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken

I created two cards with this die.

First Card

Forever in our Memory card featuring Spellbinders dies.

This card is a 5 by 7 card. These dies work perfectly with the A7 card front, so I decided to create one with this die. I cut a panel of peachy pink card stock and embossed it using Spellbinders Flowers and Leaves Embossing Folder. This was for my background. I used a pattern paper cut with the shadow layer of this die so that the embossed background would show. The swirly part of this die cut was cut once with an olive green card stock and once with a gold card stock. I layered the olive piece on top of the gold piece, slightly offsetting it so that only a little bit of gold peeked through. The Forever in our memory sentiment was also created the same way.

Second Card

I created the second card using this die as a shaped card. I haven’t created a shaped card in a long time, but these dies presented a perfect opportunity for me to create one today.

As simple as it is, I cut the layers with pattern paper and the pink and olive green card stocks and layered them on top of each other. For the card base, I used the shadow layer of this die and partially cut the folded card base so that just a little bit of the fold was uncut.

I adhered some gold pearls where ever it looked appropriate on the card front and called it done. The pink piece on the back is an envelope for this card I made using an envelope punch board.

The third product I received was this beautiful stamp set called Beautiful Inside Out sentiments. This stamp set has 7 sentiments that goes with all the dies that Becca created for this collection. You can use these sentiments in the inside of the cards or the outside, hence the name “Inside Out Sentiments”.

For the last but not least card today, I used one of the sentiments from this stamp set for the outside of the card.

My color palette for this card was somewhat the same as the last two cards I made using the Forever in our Memory cards: pink and olive green.

The Background

I used the floral pattern paper for the background. Then, I embossed the olive green card stock piece which was embossed using the Spellbinders Flowers and Leaves Embossing Folder.

The Tag

I used one of the dies from the Forever in our Memory Vignette Etched Dies from Beautiful Sentiment Vignettes Collection by Becca Feeken to create this tag. I just had to punch a hole on the top with a hole punch.

You can see how I stamped one of the sentiments with Ranger Archival Ink in jet black on the tag. If you are thinking how I made the gold borders, they are cut using the die from Arched A2 & Slimline Card Creator – Small Die of the Month.

The Flowers

The main beauty of this card are the dimensional flowers that I created using the dotted pink pattern paper. This is Button and Daisy Chrysanthemum Etched Dies from Susan’s Autumn Flora by Susan Tierney-Cockburn.

This was my final card for today. I hope this inspires you.

Hugs,

Jyoti
